Electrical Project Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Provide customer service with an ability to work with the owner, architect and other design professionals to effectively execute the projects.

· Provide interdisciplinary coordination with other trade/project consultants.

· Perform, supervise and provide a high level of technical leadership in the following areas: project engineering and review, preparation of reports and specifications, electrical calculations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration.

· Prepare engineering proposals for projects and project change orders.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Possess advanced knowledge of electrical systems design and construction.

· Possess detailed knowledge of equipment from various electrical systems’ manufacturers.

· Possess solid knowledge of electrical codes and standards.

· Possess knowledge of ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) construction costs.

· Possess strong presentation skills.

· Possess strong recordkeeping & documentation skills.

· Proficient in design and calculation software.

· Proficient in the following software applications: Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.

· Ability to edit and create detailed specifications for a wide variety of projects.

· Ability to conduct field visits and write field observation reports.

· Ability to write technical reports and perform construction administration tasks.

· Must maintain enthusiasm about work & be willing to seek knowledge from others.
