Electrical Engineering services for the construction of the shore power electrical service as part of the porting of the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum.

· Electrical service from a new pier substation

· Electrical power for additional shore facilities

 

Construction Cost: $350,000

Project Description:

Electrical Engineering services for this 30’ x 450’ reinforced concrete pier and adjacent boat ramp.  The pier supports cold-iron berthing of six Patrol Coastal (PC) ships.

 

Design Elements:

· New 12 kV substation

· 480 volt pier power distribution and pier mounds

· 208 volt area distribution

· Area lighting & power mounds for shore container “Vans”.

 

Construction Cost: $4.1 Million

Project Description:

Electrical Engineering services for this new 60,000 SF 5-story maintenance facility located as part of an expansion to Pier 5000 at Subase, Point Loma. 

 

Design Elements:

· 12 kV site and pier distribution & secondary unit substation

· Industrial shop facilities, hazardous areas, testing shops, a welding shop, lighting & fire alarm

· 480 V pier receptacles and mounds & utility control system additions
