DFSP San Pedro – Electrical Distribution System Upgrade

The project upgraded the overhead 2.4kV, 480V, and 120/240V electrical distribution systems for the entire fuel storage facility. The site electrical distribution system consisted of 198 government-owned wooden electrical power poles, overhead primary and secondary power lines, insulators, electrical manholes, power transformers, substation/switchgear, panelboards and grounding. Over 30 types of electrical deficiencies were corrected in the overhead and underground electrical distribution systems. The project also reconfigured the electrical distribution system to decrease the mean time to repair and increase system reliability.
